PDRN Needs a Delivery Readout
Two companies have discussed PDRN sourcing, stability and topical delivery in their product communications. Those disclosures make the development questions visible; they are not independent proof of skin penetration or efficacy.
Product announcements are not penetration studies
In May 2026, Amorepacific described work on PDRN sourcing and delivery at an industry forum. Fuerjia’s product announcement named penetration efficiency and stability among the challenges of bringing PDRN into daily skincare, then presented its own formulation approach. These are company disclosures about development direction. Neither announcement, by itself, establishes how much intact material reaches a defined skin compartment in a finished product. [1, 2]
Define the material before testing the route
“PDRN” on an ingredient list does not specify a single molecular size or formulation behavior. A technical evaluation should identify the material and its size distribution, measure its stability in the final formula, and state which molecular species the assay can detect. A signal from a label or breakdown product may answer a different question from an assay for intact PDRN.
The next step is to compare the finished formula with appropriate controls under specified use conditions. Where is the material measured in skin? How much remains over time? Does the measurement track the relevant species, and is there a separate biological endpoint? These questions help distinguish an appealing delivery concept from evidence for a particular product. They also prevent a company press release from being treated as independent validation.
