The next competition in high-value actives is route, delivery, and evidence

Signals from oral peptides, longevity beauty, supplements, and HA delivery systems point to the same shift: discovery matters, but route execution now carries more of the development risk.

The next competition in high-value actives is route, delivery, and evidence.

Recent public signals are coming from different directions: Pinnacle Medicines’ oral peptide financing, longevity-beauty discussion around AI-designed peptides, Givaudan’s VectorHyal delivery system, and beauty brands entering supplement formats.

They do not describe the same business model. Pinnacle is advancing oral peptide therapeutics. Givaudan is building ingredient and delivery-system technology. Vichy and FOREO are working closer to beauty consumers through supplement formats. But they share a development question: once an active has potential, which route can make that potential usable?

For oral peptides, the hard work is gastrointestinal stability, permeability, absorption, dosing, safety, and long-term use. For topical and skincare applications, the hard work is barrier crossing, retention, local release, formulation compatibility, skin evidence, and sensory fit. For supplements, teams need population evidence, functional claim boundaries, and a reason for sustained use.

VectorHyal is a useful signal because delivery is being named and explained as part of the product value. Encapsulation, enzyme-triggered release, stability protection, transparency, and compatibility with hydrophilic and lipophilic actives are all development questions, not decorative claims.

For N1 Life, the practical lens is route before positioning. A high-value active becomes more partner-relevant when the delivery route, formulation logic, use experience, and evidence package are clear enough to evaluate.

As AI increases candidate flow and consumer formats expand, the bottleneck moves downstream. Discovery can create more options. Delivery and evidence decide which options deserve development.
